Sad Day

My sister in law is in labor, preparing to give birth to an angel. He/she never developed kidneys nor a bladder and will only live minutes. My heart is heavy, and I pray for strength for her tonight and the years to come without her first born.
Peace to her and their sweet baby.

I Got A Feeling

The Black Eyed Peas rocked out Oprah's anniversary show, performing "I've Got A Feeling."
I am sure you have seen it...it was awesome.
Ever since that performance, the song makes me happy, in a smiley, toe tapping, its going to be a great day kind of way. So I decided to put it on my phone as my ringtone.
I love it. I did not, however, love it when my mother-in-law butt dialed me from the casino at 4:30am this morning.
I got a feeling that my mother-in-law will be getting a phone call in the middle of the night tonight.

Character Counts

I try really hard to teach my boys to give others the benefit of doubt, to weigh all options before forming an opinion and not to light their own candle by blowing someone else's out. I also teach them that if someone is not treating them right, then it is their right to defend themselves...Lord knows they practice this all.the.time with one another. Case in point, I recieved a phone call from my oldest son's teacher. She told me that during class he had to read a story out loud to the class that he had written. There is a girl in his class that I suspect has had a tough life..anyway, after he had finished reading his story, she said to him, in front of the whole class, "that is the worst story I have heard all day."
My thought? How dare you, you little snot.
My son's response? "Well N,...YOUR story was the BEST one I have heard."
His teacher said it made her cry. It made me cry too. I am so proud of him.

My guys

My boys.

Well, my husband and our boys. Also lovingly referred to as my boys. My husband is often the trouble maker. :)

My husband and I. Awwww.

Maiden Boy-age

Starting this blog...I am going to have to learn along the way. I have 2 boys (10 and 7) that are in EVERY sport, along with 2 nephews that are as well. My life is lovely, most of the time, and it is one perpetual sport. It is just how I would have planned for it to be, if I could plan anything around here, but I can't and gave up trying long ago. My boys have great character and are kind little dudes who strive for the best and hold their heads up even when they don't win...unlike their mom. :) I AM their biggest fan, aside from my husband of 12 years. Because our life is boys and sports and sports and school too, that, along with my opinion of things, which I tend to have a lot of and voice frequently, is what I am going to blab about on here.
Pics to come as soon as I can figure it out...and I DO NOT know how to photoshop, at all, and am a pretty mediocre photographer as well, but the beauty of a photo is the subject, not the picture itself.
